Health and Safety is not only a legal requirement, it is our ethical obligation too.

The success of the Health and Safety Policy will only be achieved by the active participation of all staff.
Tierra will ensure that every employee is made aware of this policy and it shall be displayed in all workplaces under the control of the company.
Tierra will achieve the purpose and aim of our policy by:
Meeting our obligations under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 2015, and other legislation, codes of practice, standards and guidelines for providing the health and safety of people at work;
Identifying hazards in the workplace, assessing the risks related to them, and implementing appropriate preventative and protective measures;
Consulting on health and safety matters with Tierra employees and others who may work under our control to ensure that our health and safety management procedures are practical to implement and effective;
Providing safe plant and work equipment owned, used or hired by Tierra, ensuring it’s safe to use, properly maintained, and inspected and tested where required;
Establishing and enforcing safe methods of working;
Ensuring that all equipment, materials and substances used by Tierra are appropriate for their intended use, and are used, handled and stored safely;
Recruiting and appointing staff who have the skills and ability suitable for the role and responsibilities they take on;
Ensuring that tasks given to employees are within their skills, knowledge and ability to perform;
Ensuring technical competence is maintained with all staff through the provision of regular training;
Continual promotion of Health and Safety awareness and good practice through effective communication and regular meetings;
Provide sufficient investment needed to meet these objectives;
Tierra recognises that our people are our most valuable asset and as such we strive to provide them with a safe and productive environment.
